Here are some of the accessories I came across when I was searching for accessories for my iPod in the malls and internet.

iPod Battery

When purchasing an iPod, which is an easy to use device that enables you to have your music and videos on you at all times, one of the main concerns is the battery life.

This battery is rechargeable and should very rarely give you any hassles. You just plug it in and off you go. If you do need to these batteries are fully replaceable and Apple will even replace the engraving and all other features on your casing. Even thought the casing is not designed to be opened and is able to be by certain third parties, so you could take your iPod to them as well.

The guarantee on your iPod is one year and does include the battery. You also have the option of requesting a 2 year guarantee which will also include the battery. Depending on certain environmental factor, charging methods, and how often it is used each person’s iPod battery will degrade in a different period of time and to varying degrees.

Apple’s iPod battery can allow it’ users from 10 hours to 20 hours playing time depending on which model iPod you have. This is also influenced by various external factors that have not been taken into account.

In order for Apple to consider their guarantee to be in affect for a defective iPod battery, the capacity of the battery to have an electrical charge will have to have diminished by 50 percent or more from the original length specified. If these conditions do not apply, then the problem will have to be checked by an Apple service center.

To make the most out of your iPod’s battery life you should make note of a few things. Keep updated with the latest iPod software at all times, set the controls to the Hold mode, when the player is not in use. This will stop it from accidentally switching on inside your bag or pocket. Hacker cracked iPod restrictions

A norwegian hacker cracked the iPod restrictions and now Apple plans to release it to all users. The cracker is the same guy who cracked the DVD copyprotection a few years ago. The hacker claims to have unlocked the playback restrictions of Apple Computer Inc.'s iPod and iTunes music products and plans to license his code to others.

The move by Jon Lech Johansen, also known as "DVD Jon," could pit the 22-year-old against Apple's lawyers, experts say, but if successful could free users from some restrictions Apple and its rivals place on digital music.

Today, songs purchased from Apple's online iTunes Music Store can't be played on portable devices made by other companies. Songs purchased from many other online music stores also won't work on iPods because they similarly use a form of copy-protection that Apple doesn't support.

Apple's iPods have blown the mp3 player competition away like a tornado in Kansas. Funny enough I find that I want my iPod during the times that I am on the go like in the car or mowing the yard. The story of the ipod is kind of evolving story. The iPod refers to a class of portable digital audio players designed and marketed by many computer companies. Devices in the iPod family offer a simple user interface designed around a central scroll wheel. Most iPod models store media, music and video, on a built-in hard drive, and some lower-end model iPod’s shuffle relying on flash memory and so begins the story of the ipod.

The iPod was introduced around 2001, and continued development of the iPod, making it slimmer, sleeker on the exterior, while expanding its capacity and capabilities. The user interface has also evolved. The result is a piece of hardware that anyone, even the most technology challenged person can use with ease.

An iPod is much more than "just a little boombox." They are used as an incredible teaching tool that is being used in many different ways to speak to today's students in a language they can understand and enjoy. We've been using iPods for several years now and we still use those first generation "oldies" too. Some of our applications utilize only the audio functions of the iPod and these "retro" models are perfect for language and music listening lessons. Newer models, are used for interdisciplinary applications that link music, art, literature, even architecture to illustrate and explain common themes. Now with the advent of the video iPod, we're doing math modeling and addressing the needs of the hearing impaired through animation.
