iPod Car Charger
iPod’s are definitely one of the best gadgets of all time. One of the truly great benefits to owning an iPod is the functionality. Funny enough I find that I want my iPod during the times that I am on the go like in the car or mowing the yard. In fact, I tend to spend much of my time in the car traveling to work, running errands and the like so I use my iPod in the car more than anywhere else. So what can you do when you want to take your iPod in the car but you need to keep it charged?
There are some permanent methods of installing an iPod in the car but that might not be a suitable solution for everyone for a few different reasons. First: they tend to be on the expensive side, with pricing starting out at $150 and that’s prior to installation fees. Next: will this permanent device still be compatible with future iPod models? And lastly what if you change vehicles, will you then have to pay for installation all over again? It might just be me but it sounds like a costly undertaking. But don’t be discouraged we do have other options for you – an iPod car charger.
After comparing many different of iPod car chargers on the market we have put together some tips to consider before settling on an iPod car charger:
Functionality & Design: The iPod car charger should send sound to the car’s stereo system through an FM transmitter or thru a cable connected to a cassette adapter or input jack.
It should send power to the iPod through the cars electrical outlet.
Also it should hold the iPod in such a way that it makes it possible for the driver to view and control the iPod while driving but safely.
Of course it is not imperative that every car iPod car charger performs all of these functions but one or more of them should be the solution you are looking for.
While this may just be a personal preference and not a common preference for most people the iPod car charger comes in one color – black. This can be helpful since most automobile dashboards are black and that will help keep the iPod from sticking out like a sore thumb so that passerby’s won’t visually see your iPod left in the car.
